Mark 3

(backdated post)

This guy appeared early in our lunch session. He immediately seemed like a great choice, but he walked away and was gone for a while before we formally agreed on him. Then at the end of lunch, he returned with his quirky look and we agreed to draw him for Mark #3.

Detail maybe no one else noticed: the green iPhone case and the gold & red embroidery on his shoes.

The next mark.

Mark 2

This Mark was so distinct that it was impossible to pick anyone else. He was studying some pictures on a traffic lightpost at the time, which gave us plenty of time to capture him in our minds.

Detail maybe no one else caught: his tan Converse shoes and Sterling Sharpe Packers jersey.

mark 2

Our second mark Nov. 9th, 2011

This guy had crazy grey hair, a bright green jersey, and a purple comb in his back pocket. I hope he didnt hear me say "WHICH GUY IS IT, I DONT SEE HIM" (he was right behind me)

mark 1

Hey guys. Here's my doodle for our first mark. Apart from his cool attire. He seemed to be light on his feet. He was kinda skipping when he passed us. Maybe he was trying to quickly pass the group of guys staring him down!

Mark 1

Our first mark, on 11/2/11.

He vaguely resembled the actor who plays Shane on "The Walking Dead TV" show. I sketched him loosely on my sketchbook after I got back from work, with notes on the color of each part of his outfit, then did a final illustration on my Cintiq at home.

Detail maybe no one else remembers: his shoes being a mixture of grey and brown.

Mark 1!

Ladies and Gentlemen, on your Mark..... get set.... Post!
Welcome to the first posting for the Miracle Mile Marksmen blog.
We are a small band of artists from various studios who get together Wednesday's at lunch to sketch from life and share some of our selections with each other and you, our internet friends.
Below is the first "mark". More good times and drawings ahead!
